S&A Fair, GIMME Promotional Products and CORE Congress & Events 7-8 September 2011
Bringing together office and events professionals for networking and training
What is the secret to a really great event? Are you familiar with dress codes? How to ensure a successful placement every time? What is an appropriate gift for a Japanese business associate?
The S&A (Secretary and Assistant) Fair taking place at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre from 7-8 September is joined by by GIMME Promotional Products who will be showcasing the latest trends in corporate, business and promotional gifts as well as the event planner, producer and organiser forum CORE Congress & Events to explore corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues and networking. Entrance is free but all visitors are required to register with one of the three events.
Speakers at the event include Nordiska Undersökningsgruppen joint owner and managing director Mikael Jansson, well known as an excellent public speaker and the author of Fair Guru (Messuguru). He will be sharing his views on the future of what he calls the “networking industry”.
MPI Finland is the Finnish arm of the Meeting Professionals International organisation, with a worldwide membership of some 24,000. Mika Lehtinen, MPI Finland chairman and managing director of Troi Helsinki Oy, will be giving a talk on networking channels on Thursday 8 September.
The Face-to-Face lectures run by the Finnish Fair Corporation cover top tips for fair exhibitors and Hilkka Olkinuora, pastor and author, will be speaking on the Slow Secretary, the super efficient worker of the future.
The events will be addressing themes such as everyday innovation, event pitfalls, business graduate working conditions, promoting CSR and organising successful international events.
S&A magazine publishers BBM Oy will be running a competitively priced professional lecture series aimed at secretaries and assistants.
Finnish tourism and travel businesses and their products will be showcased at SUOMA 2011 on Thursday morning. This is a great opportunity for travel coordinators to find out more about what’s on offer in Finland.
First Office Star to be announced
The inaugural Office Star competition is seeking a highly professional and driven office worker with a positive attitude and plenty of team working and motivational ability, who is committed to their field and keen to promote it more widely. The winner and recipient of the €2,000 prize will be announced at 2pm on Wednesday 7 September. The competition is organised by S&A magazine and the Finnish Fair Corporation, with the cash prize sponsored by Messusäätiö.
