New York Times: Helsinki 2nd most interesting destination in the world

The New York Times has listed Helsinki as the second most interesting destination in the world in 2012. The newspaper especially highlights Helsinki’s year as World Design Capital.

The newspaper states that design has always been part of Helsinki, but in recent years the scene has been increasingly energized by the official Design District of nearly 200 design-minded businesses in one area ranging from design shops to boutique hotels.

In addition to Helsinki’s design offerings, the newspaper also mentions some of Helsinki´s outstanding restaurants.
