Five technology events at the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre in October 2011
Finnish industry decision-makers are forecasting clear growth for investments in the next few years. New investments will account for 57.7% and modernisations for 85.6% of upcoming investments. The primary goal in 84% of investments is the enhancement of productivity.
The survey was commissioned by the Finnish Fair Corporation and realised by Innolink Research Ltd in September-October 2010. The target group of the study consisted of industrial companies with 250+ employees as well as decision-makers from companies with 100+ employees. In all, 239 people responded to the survey. The majority (52.7%) were employed in production, technology and product development management positions.
The respondents worked in companies that are engaged in, for example, the mechanical, metal, food, paper, electronics, electrical, chemical and plastics industries as well as in metal processing and the service sector. In total, 52% of respondents estimated that investments would increase either substantially or somewhat over the next two years. 84% of investments would focus on productivity, 21.6% on improvements to energy-efficiency, 10.5% on increasing the degree of automation and 8.6% on logistics solutions.
Five simultaneous technical trade fairs
The Automation, Elkom, Eltek, Hydraulics & Pneumatics and MecaTec 11 tradeshows take place at the Helsinki Exhibition & Convention Centre on 4 – 6 October 2011. These tradeshows and their programmes provide an excellent opportunity for networking and updating your professional competence. Our previous technology industry tradeshow totality attracted over 19,000 visitors in 2009.
The Automation 11 fair is a must for all automation professionals. It's a unique opportunity to meet colleagues and clients from the Baltic Sea region as well as to find out about all the latest developments in the field.
The Eltek fair introduces the latest equipment needed in industrial electricity production. Its main product groups are electrical feed systems for factories, electrical apparatuses and components, drive technology and services.
Elkom is the leading event in professional electronics in the Baltic region. It is now being organised for the eighteenth time. Elkom reviews industrial electronics, telecommunications, IT components and equipment, production tools and contract manufacturing. Elkom is arranged by the Finnish Fair Corporation in co-operation with the Association of Suppliers of Electronic Instruments and Components ELKOMIT and the Finnish Society of Electronics Engineers EIS.
The main themes of the Hydraulics & Pneumatics tradeshow are the energy-efficiency of production, the reliability of manufacturing technology and the management of advanced control systems.
MecaTec is the most important mechanical engineering and machine components fair in Finland. Its main product groups are mechanical power transmission, electrical controls and motors, bearings and seals, conveyor components, mechanical components, sensor techniques, engine power system components, systems for central lubrication and cooling, raw materials and equipment for machine construction, maintenance and CAD-application in engineering.
